I understand the appeal of Alaska, but living there can be an exercise in self-deprivation.Durango Joenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18615538.post-44623816913209746612011-01-13T04:44:48.507-07:002011-01-13T04:44:48.507-07:00Beautiful shot at the end of the post!Beautiful shot at the end of the post!Deanna Stopplerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12125385222380576387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18615538.post-37696175497141974452011-01-12T20:19:23.783-07:002011-01-12T20:19:23.783-07:00San Francisco and the Bay Area are awesome. I don't think we'll be getting down to the Bay this time, but will be hitting Mt. Shasta, Redwoods Ntl. Park, etc. CA is beautiful...

By the way, that last pic is really cool - nice shot.Fonkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04504462046067745769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18615538.post-28777910144087853812011-01-12T16:17:38.555-07:002011-01-12T16:17:38.555-07:00Personally I think California is one of the most b...Personally I think California is one of the most beautiful places in the world, certainly the US. I've had similar issues and it makes sense to me.

Thanks for the posts, Jill. You're my inspiration to keep chugging along with my recovery, though I'm still a huge wimp when it comes to cold weather :)Jessehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16059092127913479264noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18615538.post-24079833770116222362011-01-12T07:36:39.164-07:002011-01-12T07:36:39.164-07:00Completely off topic, but had a thought for you to...Completely off topic, but had a thought for you to chew on.

Your breathing/ diaphragm issues with downhill running might be related to really tight hip flexors from all of you biking/uphill hiking history. I challenge to spend 1 month stretching those out or adding lots of lunges to your day where you reach overhead at the same time. If you wanted to really explore my theory, find a good sports physical therapist or a really good sports massage person to explore my crazy scheme. Those deep hip flexors join the diaphagm and could be a relatively easy fix.

So there is your unsolicited advice from afar for the day :)TrevorMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05846415078171911353noreply@blogger.com
