  7. I was the first one at the party and didn't bring a present. Shame on me. I ran out and got one. (Warning, I am NOT a poet.)

    Ode on a Pugsly

    Spin, spin, spin
    Bivalves crunch on distant shores
    Spin, spin, spin
Through snow, snain and occasional sun
    Spin, spin, spin
Peak to peak, past moose and bear
    Spin, spin, spin
On over Canadians and dogsled trails
    Run, run, run
Stop that now! Back on your bike
    Spin, spin, spin
    Where she stops, nobody knows

  12. Happy birthday, Jill! Enjoy the sunshine. Perhaps being amidst different surroundings (sunshine)will offer new perspective on things. I turn 29 next week...can't believe I have only one year till 30...I thought I'd be grown up by now!

  14. Happy Birthday to you! Clearly you have people that care for and love you - and it is just as clear that you have had a positive influence on others (just by the nature of the comments on your blog). To love and be loved; I think you have the important things covered - something to reflect on as a birthday thought - regardless of age!

  17. Happy Birthday Jill. Hope you enjoy Dizney. You guys sure like that stretch of the beach trail near the dog beach on the cliff. At least three touristy pics there eh.
Agree that SPF 50 might not cut it for ya but at least you won't sweat it off so much with the sea breeze and the low 80s. I did a lot of riding this summer in the high desert when it was upwards of 106(not a morning person) just fine but wouldn't get near the bike when its in the low teens. Enjoy

  18. Jill!

Wishing you a very Happy (but now belated) Birthday. Wow, I can almost remember when I was 29!!!
You've certainly made the best of your 29 years and I hope that Life gives you everything you wish for in the next 29 years (and beyond).

Peace, Tranquility and all that Jazz. Enjoy those warm California days : )

  19. Happy Birthday Jill! Must be great to be spending it with your family. My wife turned 40 today (Aug 20). I had forgotten you and my wife had the same birthday. We went out for the evening and had a great time.

  27. I hate to point this out to you Jill, but yesterday the temp in Juneau was into the 70's...I heard on the radio 75 but don't know if that's official. Sunny and absolutely gorgeous and you missed it!! P.S. And it was the THIRD sunny day in a row!

  31. Happy Birthday from Alabama, where your mom could be your cousin and your dad could also be your uncle/brother! Ain't inbreeding great?? Maybe I shouldn't be fostering that stereotype, huh?
